Photographers Iva Kozeli and Dorrell Bradford of Ashton Alexander teamed up with rapper and songwriter Jay Waves to document the last leg of his move, uprooting his life in Arizona to pursue his career in Los Angeles. Four months of 12 hour shifts and one resignation letter later, Waves packed up everything he owned, hooked his old school up to the back of a U-Haul, and left South Phoenix. Kozeli and Bradford tailed him on I-10W until just shy of the California border documenting the move through the Southwestern terrain of desert landscape covered in saguaro cacti and a backdrop of surrounding mountains. The nearly 400 mile move holds promise for Jay Wave with his new home in Los Angeles.
