Michael Anderson
04/15/2009This past Friday Andrew and I took a short walk uptown to check out Michael Anderson’s studio, 'The Harlem Collage Shop'. It was a great time and it was awesome to see part of his sticker collection in person, as well as the various material he's collected over the years for his collage art, and hearing some of the stories that came with the footwork. All the materials were neatly archived in shelving around the studio which has to be an art in itself.
As we flipped through the stickers we realized he had a bunch of ours from waaay back. One of Andrews’ from ‘97-98. Michael & James (Michael’s friend who is also a sticker collector) asked us to make couple new ones to add to the collection. One for old time’s sake!

Michael is currently having a solo show at the Marlborough gallery in Chelsea. The show is up until April 25 and is next on our list. We definitely recommend checking it out.

Congrats goes out to Michael for this recent project at Ace Hotel that has gotten much coverage. The NY Times and New York mag to name two.
