Time Out New York
02/25/2009Thanks to the folks at Time Out NY, we got some serious shine in this weeks issue and online. As you can imagine, we’re feeling good about this & what we’re doing!
When recently asked by Time Out to explain a little about us - what we’re
doing and why we’re doing, I knew it wouldn’t be easy to put into words.
After some serious thought I came up with this, and thought I’d share:
ONLY NY is a independent company formed on the Upper West Side by two
native New Yorkers, Micah and Andrew, who met in the first grade at PS87.
We pride ourselves on our bold, catchy, iconic logos and graphics inspired
by growing up in NYC — the slang, graffiti, 90’s street culture, skateboard-
ing, fishing the Hudson.
In ‘07 we started ONLY NY because we felt we had something to offer that a
lot of people could identify with. We wanted to create something for New
Yorkers by New Yorkers. Our goal is to appeal to a wide audience of people
and ultimately to establish our ‘Only New York’ logo as a local and globally
recognized New York City icon.
